Hyjnesha në Fron traces this endlessly expanding echo in the present void - a haunting sound of rhythmical distortion, stretching over excavated images. A search but also a starting point: For demanding historical spaces filled with objects and people whose sudden reoccurring make the entanglement of absence and violence hauntingly concrete.
Biografie Regisseur*innen:
Durim Klaiqi is a self-taught experimental film author and graphic designer from Prishtina, Kosova. He began his creative path in 2017 through Samsung's Galaxy Themes partnership program, later earning a BA in Integrated Design with a focus on graphic design. In 2020, he expanded into freelance video editing, blending visual communication with moving-image work.
His debut short, reMemBer2.human is an experimental sci-fi produced on a €0 budget. It was screened at major festivals including Vienna Shorts, DokuFest, and Tirana International Film Festival among others, while also having received critical acclaim and several awards, establishing him as a new voice in Kosovo's experimental cinema.
He has since directed The Goddess on the Throne (experimental documentary, world premiere at DokuFest) and PART OF THE SYSTEM (synthetic-documentary, developed at the DoKKu workshop in Slovenia).
Alongside filmmaking, he has participated in and guest lectured workshops, and is now preparing his next project, Crow Funeral, further expanding his investigation into experimental storytelling, memory, technology, and hybrid visual forms.
